Walking the tree-lined path. My feet felt soft. A crunching sound followed after every step. Squirrels jumped across the trees and a few empty husks fell on the ground.
It was Sunday afternoon. The path was filled with dog walkers, families, friends and couples. They took off their coats and jackets and carried them on their arms.
I dodged people and dogs and hurried on the tree-lined path. Sweat broke on my nose. I squinted. Sunlight was filtering through the leaves of the trees.
The small blue sky framed by trees was ahead of me. I sped up and the sky grew bit by bit, Sweat ran down my face, but I kept my pace.
The sky filled my view. Trees were underneath. I wiped the sweat and looked up.
A white bird was in the sky.
