It was an unusually hot and sunny day in London, and I needed to escape my flat's rising temperature. I mindlessly scrolled through Instagram. My finger stopped at a post. It was a white, abstract figure set against a dark blue background, with the text 'The last day of Osvaldo Licini's exhibition'. Intrigued by the image and tempted by the thought of cool air-conditioned rooms, I decided to go to the exhibition.
As I walked around the exhibition, I felt the cool air on my skin and admired the various artworks displayed in the rooms. There were figures, landscapes, abstracts, sculptures, and more, each leaving a lasting impression on me.
That night, I picked up my ink and brush and began to draw, using the bits of impressions I had gathered from the exhibition. I merged them together not knowing the direction. I saw a piece of work inspired by the artworks of Italian artists with a Japanese twist.
The exhibitions are a great source of inspiration for my work.
